Meg Spratt, Ph.D.

Associate Director for Academic Programs

Meg SprattMeg Spratt recently received a doctorate in Communication from the University of Washington. As a former newspaper reporter and editor, she has 10 years experience teaching journalism and media studies at the college level. Her research interests include journalism history, race and gender, and political communication, with an emphasis on photojournalism. Her dissertation examined uses and interpretations of photojournalistic icons from the height of the American Civil Rights Movement.
