    Conference: Media, Democracy and Governance

    In New Delhi, India, the annual conference of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre, exploring emerging paradigms for a digital age.

    The 18th Annual International Conference of the AMIC intends to "provide a critical space for both media professionals and academics to exchange knowledge and share their experiences on the role of the media in bringing about development and the new paradigms that are emerging in the digital age."

    The conference will take place at the Le Méridien Hotel, New Delhi, India from July 13th to 16th. It is open to academics, media industry professionals, government agencies, policymakers, regulators, UN agencies, donors, research groups, civil society organizations, independent consultants and students worldwide.

    Deadline: Ochberg Fellowship Application

    Applications due for the Dart Center Ochberg Fellowships for mid-career journalists who cover trauma.

    Each year, the Dart Center provides six or more expense-paid fellowships to mid-career journalists who want to apply knowledge of emotional trauma to improving the coverage of violent events.

    Fellowships are open to print and broadcast reporters,  photographers, editors and producers with at least five years of journalism experience.

    Fellows will attend a two-day seminar on the role emotional trauma plays in coverage of violent vents, then will have access to all events and speakers in the annual conference of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, November 3-7 in Atlanta, GA.
